The HealthiHome Assessment™ is a comprehensive visual and technology-assisted evaluation designed to identify conditions that may affect your home’s indoor air quality, cleanliness, comfort, and overall health.
Healthienvironments evaluates the property, explains the findings, and provides practical recommendations based on the conditions observed.
What the Assessment Includes
Indoor Air Quality Screening
We collect available indoor environmental readings that may include:
- Temperature
- Relative humidity
- Carbon dioxide levels
- Airborne particulate levels, including PM2.5 and PM10
- Volatile organic compound screening
- Formaldehyde screening, when applicable
- General ventilation and airflow observations
These readings help identify conditions that may contribute to excessive dust, odors, discomfort, poor ventilation, or other indoor environmental concerns.
Moisture Detection
We inspect accessible areas for signs of elevated moisture or previous water intrusion.
The assessment may include:
- Moisture-meter readings
- Thermal-imaging inspection
- Visual inspection for water stains
- Inspection around plumbing fixtures
- Inspection beneath accessible sinks
- Examination of walls, ceilings, floors, and baseboards
- Review of areas with visible discoloration or suspected moisture
Thermal imaging can help identify temperature differences that may require additional investigation. It does not allow us to see through walls.
Air-Duct and HVAC Observations
We visually inspect accessible components that may affect indoor air quality and airflow, including:
- Supply and return vents
- Visible dust and debris accumulation
- Air-filter condition
- Accessible duct openings
- Signs of moisture near vents
- Visible contamination or buildup
- General airflow concerns
The HealthiHome Assessment™ does not replace an HVAC mechanical inspection by a licensed HVAC contractor.
Dryer-Vent Inspection
Accessible portions of the dryer-vent system are reviewed for:
- Visible lint accumulation
- Restricted airflow
- Disconnected or damaged venting
- Excessively long or improperly routed venting
- Conditions that may affect dryer performance or safety
Dryer-vent cleaning and repairs are separate services unless specifically included in your proposal.
Surface and Textile Evaluation
We review accessible surfaces that may collect contaminants, odors, residue, or allergens, including:
- Carpet and area rugs
- Upholstered furniture
- Tile and grout
- Natural stone
- Countertops
- Wood flooring
- Showers and other moisture-prone surfaces
We identify areas that may benefit from professional cleaning, treatment, polishing, or sealing.
Odor and Ventilation Review
We evaluate noticeable odors and conditions that may contribute to them, such as:
- Pet-related contamination
- Moisture
- Poor ventilation
- Carpet or upholstery buildup
- Drain or plumbing concerns
- HVAC and duct conditions
- Smoke or cooking residue
Odor identification may require additional investigation when the source is concealed or intermittent.
Your HealthiHome Report™
After the assessment, you will receive a digital summary of our findings, which may include:
- Areas inspected
- Environmental readings collected
- Moisture-related observations
- Photographs of relevant conditions
- HealthiHome Score
- Priority concerns
- Recommended cleaning or corrective services
- Suggested maintenance schedule
- Items that may require evaluation by another qualified professional
Our recommendations are organized so you can understand which concerns should receive immediate attention and which can be addressed through routine maintenance.
What Is Not Included
Unless specifically added to your appointment, the $249 assessment does not include:
- Laboratory mold testing
- Mold identification
- Asbestos or lead testing
- Radon testing
- Bacterial or sewage testing
- Destructive inspection
- Opening walls, ceilings, or flooring
- HVAC repair or mechanical diagnosis
- Engineering, plumbing, or electrical inspections
- Cleaning, remediation, or restoration work
- Code-compliance certification
Optional testing and additional services will be explained and priced separately before being performed.
How Long Does It Take?
Most HealthiHome Assessments™ take approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Larger homes, multiple areas of concern, or more complex conditions may require additional time.

If we identify conditions requiring specialized testing or a licensed trade professional, we will explain the concern and recommend an appropriate next step.
